I joined QE2 in 1987 and left in 1991 - I started as PRS (Public Room Stewardess) and then moved for a quick stint in the Pursers office and then the remainder of time as Accommodation Services Admin...
After I left the QE2 I worked in the Cunard office for a year and had 2 14 day trips on Cunard Princess.
October 10 2008 - I took a friend on QE2 for the day to show her my ex- home! I bumped into Captain McNaught as well, he was being followed by a TV crew but stopped to speak to me ... it is funny I remember when he was a 2 stripe bridge officer, he hasn't changed a bit ..still a lovely friendly man. It's the people that made QE2 so special - I have very fond memories of her and can still remember clearly my very first day of joining back in 1987 - Anthony (Smith) was the first PRS I met and he showed me all around the ship.
